Restaurant news: Barbecue, Mediterranean restaurants open in Naples, Bonita Springs


Get the scoop on two new restaurants open in Bonita Springs and Naples, and find out which area diner is offering free chicken and waffles for a year.

Two new restaurants opened at the end of July, bringing Lebanese and Greek food to Bonita Springs and barbecue classics to downtown Naples. And there are celebrations galore as restaurants offer deals and contests for National Fried Chicken and Waffles Day and National Sandwich Month. 

 
 Liki Tiki BBQ opens second location in Naples


This new barbecue restaurant opened July 25 at the corner of U.S. 41 and Sixth Avenue North in downtown Naples. The space was formerly occupied by Old Naples All American Sports Bar and Grill. 
The menu features a mix of barbecue and seafood dishes. In one meal guests can order conch fritters and smoked mahi-mahi dip, along with St. Louis-style ribs and pulled pork. 

Owner Jackie Stojkoski's favorite menu item is the beef brisket, braised and served on a ciabatta roll with cheese.

Mediterranean Paradise debuts in Bonita 

Mediterranean classics such as spanakopita, gyros and baba ganoush.

Mediterranean Paradise's menu features Greek and Lebanese dishes, along with some American staples, such as tuna-salad melts and chili-cheese fries.

Metro Diner in Cape Coral is celebrating National Fried Chicken and Waffles Day by hosting a social media giveaway competition.
